SINGING & WALKING

So the idea was born to organize a tour in which walking would be combined with singing. Walks with the quality mark of The Happy Walker and song guided by an experienced and qualified choir conductor. During the walks we will have singing sessions at various locations: in churches and gorges, under ancient trees and at springs or on top of a hill with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. We will spend time on voice training, breathing techniques and practicing repertoire. Imagine: the sound of your voice mingled with the sound of birds, insects, water and wind. The Happy Walker warmly invites you for this fascinating event!

Practical information

• the walks will alternate with singing, voice training, practicing repertoire etc. Most will take place a cappella in the open air.
• the week might culminate in a small performance
• the walks will be between 2,5 and 4,5 hours long and the level is easy to medium
• singing and choir experience is desired, reading of notes is not required
• the walking area is in the wide surroundings of Rethymnon and we will stay in the Forest Park Hotel, which is situated within walking distance of the centre of Rethymnon
• the tour will be escorted by an experienced walking guide and an experienced and qualified choir director
• for this tour the minimum number of participants is 8 persons
• international company

Dates and prices in 2010

The 2010 dates of the tour are Sunday October 3 - Sunday October 10.

Based on lodging in a double room the price is 570 € per person.
Additional charge for a single room 75 €.

Included:	lodging in Forest Park Hotel in Rethymnon based on bed and breakfast on the day of arrival the evening meal; on walking days a lunch in a village taverna or a picnic; on the day of departure breakfast only all transport incl. transfers to and from the airport professional musical support guiding in English
Not included:	Flight to and from Crete Entrance fees and liquid consumptions
Prolongation:	If you want to extend your stay either before or after the tour this can be arranged.
